Busy, busy, busy!

This year has been a whirl wind so far! I've been busy making new things, filling up my Etsy shop, filling up my Amazon shop and gardening! It's been a long time since I last updated this blog, but I'm back :)
I've had some pretty awesome things happen this year! My Grouchy Pots are available in The Akron Museum Shop! So if you're local to the northeast Ohio area and at the Art Museum checking out the new Bud and Susie Rogers Garden (opening July 16th!) stop into the museum shop and check out my pots!

I also bought a bigger better kiln and started making some bigger trays and serving bowls!

I love July!

In July, when I'm not making pottery, you'll usually find me outside in the garden or in my kitchen. The weather has been AWESOME here in NE Ohio! And my garden in seriously out of control, but in a good way.
So I've been busy canning jams and pickles and making a BUNCH of new pottery!

Large Grouchy Pot with Spikes and #1 rule in the Studio

I really love making these pots! It takes hours to roll all of the spikes and attach them, sculpt the feet, carving, sanding, firing and the finally glazing and refiring before I can actually see these "come to life". I love every step!

#1 rule in the studio is there aren't any rules. I don't really look toward other things for inspiration and 50% of the time I have no idea what I'm making when I start, that's the best part of doing what I do :)
What's your #1 rule?
